It protects the <strong data-start=\"1087\" data-end=\"1116\">right to personal liberty<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1120\" \/>\u2705 <strong data-start=\"1122\" data-end=\"1134\">Mandamus<\/strong> \u2013 Commands a public authority to perform a duty they have failed to do.<br data-start=\"1206\" data-end=\"1209\" \/>\u2705 <strong data-start=\"1211\" data-end=\"1225\">Certiorari<\/strong> \u2013 Used to quash illegal orders or decisions passed by lower courts or tribunals.<br data-start=\"1306\" data-end=\"1309\" \/>\u2705 <strong data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1326\">Prohibition<\/strong> \u2013 Stops lower courts or bodies from acting beyond their powers.<br data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1393\" \/>\u2705 <strong data-start=\"1395\" data-end=\"1411\">Quo Warranto<\/strong> \u2013 Challenges a person occupying a public office without legal authority.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1486\" data-end=\"1688\">These writs ensure that no one \u2014 not even the government \u2014 can act arbitrarily. They protect individuals from unlawful arrest, abuse of power, wrongful decisions, and violation of constitutional rights.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1690\" data-end=\"2027\">Writ jurisdiction strengthens democracy by ensuring <strong data-start=\"1742\" data-end=\"1777\">accountability and transparency<\/strong>. When citizens know they can challenge the system, the government remains more responsible, lawful and fair.
